Within a school environment much learning happens and it is important that all students have opportunity to build resilience, practice leadership, learn problem-solving skills, recognize and build healthy relationship and develop social skills. Our CDA staff at WHS are well positioned to help support and facilitate these important developmental steps in collaboration with students, parents, teachers and administrators.

CDA staff are available to schedule time with students, staff, and parents to discuss concerns or celebrate successes, and provide support.

Areas of support include the following:

  •  Conflict resolution and healthy peer relationships
  •  Coping with family changes
  •  Dealing with loss and grief
  •  Family support and referrals to community supports
  •  Self-esteem
