Circulation

  • Students are allowed up to a limit of 3 check outs at any given time. This does not include novel studies signed out for classes.
  • Standard loan period is 3 weeks but students may exchange items as often as they wish during their library class, or other times the library is open.

Damaged and Lost Items from the Learning Commons

  • Any lost or damaged item from the Learning Commons may be paid for in one of two ways. Please see Ms. McDonald to make arrangements.
  1. Pay for item through School Cash.
  2. Purchase a copy of item and donate to the Learning Commons.

Donations

  • Donations will be accepted for the Learning Commons under the following guidelines:
  1. Item is appropriate fiction reading for elementary or middle school age level.
  2. If non-fiction, item is less than 5 years old.
  3. Item is in good condition.
  4. If donated items doe not support the collection or meet the above guidelines, they will be made available for classroom teachers or other Learning Commons that can use them.

Grade 5 YA Permission Form

  • Currently, students can only sign out YA books if they are in Grade 6 - 8, however we realize that other students may wish to read books in that collection as well. Grade 5 students are able to borrow YA books if they have returned a YA permission form signed by their parent/guardian. Forms can be found here or by seeing Ms. McDonald in the Learning Commons.
